Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The Clinic, the Foundation's beneficiary, serves families with a wide range of issues. Typically, children and adolescents are referred to the Clinic because of difficulties that interfere with their functioning at home, in school or in the community. Problems may be related to control, attention, mood, anger management, etc. The Clinic also serves children and adolescents who have experienced various forms of abuse, neglect or other hardships that affect their daily lives.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Links for Success
Links for Success is a collaborative partnership between the Child Guidance Clinic and local nonprofit organizations, and privately owned small businesses. These partnerships allow clients to receive additional support by engaging them in unique activities and experiences.
Community partners provide the activities and locations for the groups. Clients are able to interact with their therapists and peers while participating in activities centered upon therapeutic goals such as facing fears, teamwork, problem solving, learning empathy, building self-confidence and communication. Each session concludes with a group therapy session that provides opportunity for participants to debrief and establish goals for the following session.
Links activities typically accommodate 8-10 clients and are held weekly for an eight-10 week duration.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The Weill Child Guidance Foundation was established in 1996 to conduct fundraising activities in support of the Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic.
The established mission of the Weill Child Guidance Foundation is to secure charitable donations and engage in fundraising and donor development in order to provide financial support and benefit for the Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic. The Foundation is also committed to improving community education and awareness for The Clinic, its services and programs, as well as for the benefit of the mental health community.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
The Foundation conducts two signature fundraising events per year. In addition to our fundraising events, we continually seek out and apply for grant opportunities.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a committed board of trustees who's goals are to obtain sponsorships and raffle items to ensure we cover all expenses and generate revenues during our signature events. Our Chairman and Vice-Chairwoman are constantly seeking out opportunities to gain additional revenues to support the programs we are committed to fund for the clinic.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have succeeded in securing funding for our primary program, Links for Success, for the next 2 years. Additionally, recently we obtained a grant of $15,000 to implement a mandatory data reporting program for the clinic. In securing this grant, it assured that valuable funds needed for patient care were not used.
Our goal is to continue to fully fund the Links for Success program and expand our assistance to other programs i.e., holiday families and back to school drives. We strive to outperform previous years contribution substantially.
