Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Science Camp, Enrichment and Lectures
The Museum goes beyond the exhibition of fossils, minerals, and artifacts. With a high focus on education especially grades K-12. BVMNH offers Science Camps and Science enrichment sessions for grades 1-6 providing mind stimulating activities to educate our youth about the earth and life sciences. The programs are designed to be engaging and fun with unique activities to harness a child's natural desire to explore, to discover new things, and figure things out. Mentored by educators, scientists and naturalists, a child at our museum learns how to observe, experiment, reason, and think critically. More than any other institution, a natural history museum and its activities feed a child's innate curiosity, sense of wonder and imagination. Science activities can help them think critically and inspire to them to look at science careers. The heart and soul of the Museum are the children. We also offer Science Topic Lectures for Adults and Older youths .
Science based lectures
Science Based lectures offered monthly for adults and children. All lectures are College level programs and presented by topic experts and cover a wide variety of science fields such as Archeology, Biology, Geology and Paleontology. The museum partners with the local educational institutions and draws upon the knowledge of many of those science experts.
