What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Project Second Chance adoption program: Placed over 2700 dogs/puppies into safe, loving homes since July of 1996.
Non-Profit Spay/Neuter Foundation: Founded in 2001 by the Canine Adoption Rescue League (formerly the Humane League) and Mercy Crusade to end the pet overpopulation problem in Ventura County by sterilizing the dogs and cats before they reproduce. In 2004, through the help of a Benefactor, C.A.R.L. opened the Bernice Kramer Sanctuary (C.A.R.L. Pet Care Center), a shelter to house our adoptable and homeless dogs awaiting foster care or forever placement. The Shelter is open for fee based boarding to the public and proceeds are used for the adoption program.
