All As One Children's Center
All As One saves the lives of orphaned and abandoned infants and children in Freetown, Sierra Leone. In a nation where thousands of children are left to survive on their own, All As One provides a vibrant Children's Center for some 75-85 infants and children. At the Children's Center we provide a residential center, three meals a day, an on-site school, medical clinic, counseling, and most of all...a family.
All As One Academy

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
All As One's goal is to save and transform the lives of orphaned, abandoned, and destitute infants and children in Sierra Leone through our Children’s Center, All As One Academy, and Clinic. We believe that by saving lives and empowering Sierra Leone’s citizens to become self-sufficient, they will become catalysts for positive change within their country and the world. To reach our goal, we provide assistance to over 3000 children each year, in addition to feeding, clothing, educating, sheltering, and keeping healthy about 100 children per day at our Children's Center and school.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our programs include a children's home that provides orphaned and abandoned children with a safe and loving place to be nurtured, fed, sheltered and safe. In addition, we operate the All As One Academy which provides Pre-K through 6th grade classroom instruction to the children in care and destitute children in the community free of charge. We also cover all educational expenses for our older children who attend junior and senior high school in Sierra Leone. A third component of our work is our medical clinic that provides health care for the children in our care, our staff, and children and families in the local community free of charge.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
All As One works to leave a positive and lasting legacy for future generations, operating within the culture and community of Sierra Leone, to e¬ffect meaningful change. To this end, we employ dedicated Sierra Leone nationals (approximately 35 are on staff as of 2013) to carry out the work for the children and families in Sierra Leone. We believe that meaningful change must come from Sierra Leoneans themselves, since they are the ones with the needed insight, determination and talents to shape and lead their country.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Since 2000, our targeted interventions have provided essential basic needs and helped improve the lives of over 30,000 children, women and families. These kids now have futures and unlimited potential to positively change their country and the world. We have also purchased land in Grafton, Sierra Leone (just outside the capital city of Freetown) and we have plans to build a vibrant new Children’s Center, school and large clinic. This will make it possible for us to help a significantly increased number of children and families, through our school and clinic, and to serve as a model of residential care for the orphaned and abandoned children throughout Sierra Leone. Every day, we see the tremendous needs among our children -- but we see huge possibilities, as well. Please join us in caring for these beautiful children!
