Mission

The mission of the unit is to maintain an organized group of experienced persons to assist the Kern County Sheriff's Office in conducting search and rescue operations in its respective areas and to assist outside government agencies in mutual aid as directed by the Sheriff or his representative. Also to provide a group that can be utilized in the case of a National or State disaster to assist as directed by the State Office of Emergency Services.
