Kern County Scottish Games

Family-friendly event including sanctioned Scottish Heavy Athletics Competition, Sanctioned Bagpipe & Drum Band Competition, herding dog demonstration, living history re-enactors, food and merchandise vendors, celtic rock and traditional celtic music, dancing, children's games and petting zoo, and so much more.

A traditional evening to celebrate the life of Scotland's favorite son, Robert Burns. The evening includes live music and bagpipes, reciting of Burns poetry, address to a haggis, toasts to the lads and lassies, a silent auction, and the evening concludes with the group joining in Burns' Auld Lang Syne. Dinner includes tradition fare of haggis, prime rib, neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes), salad, and trifle dessert. The evening is a great way to learn about Scottish history and the life of Robert Burns.
