What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

United States is a land of opportunity for many immigrants from all over the world. There are close 500,000 people settled in USA from the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in India. The immigrants from this area would like have connection to their rich cultural and linguistic heritage. Especially they want their children to connect to their family roots. Language plays a vital role in giving that cultural identity. Telugu language is spoken by about 150 million people across the world. But there was no systematic opportunity to learn Telugu in North America. Also there were limited opportunities or platforms to celebrate the art forms like classical Kuchipudi dance, folk dances, Annamayya Keertanas, Telugu Dramas etc. Many people want to have that cultural and linguistic connection. But really don't know how to establish that connection in a professional and organized fashion.
