The FAST research fund is a new initiative to bootstrap research opportunities for students. The goal is to fund limited but broadly applicable research projects that will be publishable in world class, reputable venues such as global ACM or IEEE forums with high impact factors. The board will solicit a network of research scientists from FAST alumni to review research proposals and adhere to the highest standards similar to agencies such as the US National Science Foundation (NSF). Funded and published research will acknowledge the sources of funds, including names of non-anonymous donors.
