Mission

The mission of the Center of the World Festival is to develop an interdependent, consensual, and ecologically sensitive community. We create an art-based civic dialogue through the power of communitas theater, which invites all residents to participate in the creativity of the arts. With a focus on cultural tourism, we invite other communities to come and share this experience in story-telling social theater.

What have they accomplished so far and what's next?

Our current goal is to maximize our FCC broadcasting license, and use our $10,000 a month Google Adwords grant to solicit contributions of audio recordings from people across the U.S.

We are developing a new strategy for this outreach, including having been accepted as an affiliate radio station of Pacifica Radio Network.

We will use our website of www.cowfest.org for Google Adwords outreach, and our new website of www.CreateOurWorld.org to develop contributors.

We maintain active forums on our website for members to stay involved in our progress.

FCC LPFM licensed was granted in Februrary, 2017.

Organizational Demographics

In order to support nonprofits and gain valuable insight for the sector, GuideStar worked with D5—a five-year initiative to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in philanthropy—in creating a questionnaire. This section is a voluntary questionnaire that empowers organizations to share information on the demographics of who works in and leads organizations. To protect the identity of individuals, we do not display sexual orientation or disability information for organizations with fewer than 15 staff. Any values displayed in this section are percentages of the total number of individuals in each category (e.g. 20% of all Board members for X organization are female).
