What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Military Veterans are faced with an unprecedented lack of resources when they get out of service. Whether it be an over-extension of organizations or a lack of personalized planning to ensure success in their transition after duty.

Finding the Uniform

This comprehensive training program takes Veterans through an in-depth process that starts with challenging old ways of thinking, having the right attitude, and providing the successful behaviors and refined techniques critical to an effective career search. The program escalates through practical application until the final lesson when each Veteran stands before area human resource representatives and senior executives ready to apply their skills.

After you go through our program, you are part of the Operation New Uniform™ family forever. As an organization we are fully dedicated to mentoring you through the process of obtaining a career position and as your career progresses, we're ready and able to support you and other Veterans you introduce to us along the way.

We have a ONU Veterans Facebook group and weekly touch base meetings to help provide you with resources aimed at helping Operation New Uniform™ alumni liaise within select organizations to identify opportunities that help them identify their desired careers goals post-graduation. Resources include volunteering, job shadowing, mentoring, internship opportunities and more.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

ONU strives to alleviate the uncertainty of whats next. With our vast network of resources, we connect Veterans to the business community and train them in behavior, attitudes and techniques that will contribute to their lifelong professional success.

We do so by treating each Veteran as an individual, serving as many Veterans as possible without reducing quality, and meticulously tracking the results and successes of our Veterans and program.

ONU defies the traditional Veteran nonprofit mantra of overextending resources that commonly leads to poor outcomes. At ONU, we are serving and building a family of professional ONU Veterans who are determined to help us grow our organization and aid in the success of their fellow ONU Veterans.

Partnering with Operation New Uniform™ means focusing on the greatest need, impacting the most Veterans nationally, which is ensuring our nation’s Veterans have a successful transition, a fulfilling career, and the means to continue serving the business community and supporting their families.
