University of Montana Foundation

The University of Montana Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization that serves the University of Montana by managing private fundraising efforts, donations and investments of endowed gifts. Governed by a Board of Trustees, the UM Foundation operates under an agreement with UM that is reviewed and approved by the Montana University System Board of Regents. The UM Foundation's mission is to inspire philanthropic support to enhance excellence and opportunity at UM. UM transforms lives by providing a high-quality and accessible education and by generating world-class research and creative scholarship. The UM Foundation serves donors in connecting their giving interests to areas that elevate students, schools, colleges and programs including scholarships, signature academic initiatives, student success and career preparedness programs, endowed faculty positions, athletics programs, and facilities projects to enrich learning, innovation and service at the University of Montana.
