The Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana, Inc
Endowing the Future of Our Faith
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We have underfunded ministries in our Catholic diocese due to it being a sparsely populated, vast diocese. There is a need to build permanent endowments for our various churches, schools, organizations and diocesan-wide ministries, in order to ensure a strong and stable future for the Catholic Church in our two-thirds of Montana.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Permanent Endowments to support Catholic churches, ministries, schools, and organizations
We seek, secure, invest and manage endowments to support Catholic schools, parishes, Catholic organizations and diocesan ministries within the geographic boundaries of the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We imagine a future where every parish in our diocese has a steady, reliable stream of income, year after year, to help fund vibrant ministries for their parishioners and communities.
We also imagine a future where our faithful, long-serving priests are cared for as they grow older; where we have plentiful seminarians and their educational costs are covered each year; where our youth have dynamic opportunities to grow in their Catholic Faith.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1. We need to hold ourselves to high standards of professionalism and inspire trust.
2. We need to educate, motivate and inspire through excellent marketing of mission, purpose and planned giving techniques.
3. This can be accomplished through presentations and visits to parishes and also through one-on-one visits.
4. Working with our board, we can utilize their expertise in many areas.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our board members have expertise in areas of accounting, management, finance and non-profits through their careers and volunteer work.
The President brings 25 years of experience and service in philanthropic and nonprofit development, including charitable planned giving.
The part-time Special Projects Assistant has years of experience in fundraising, banking, and compliance.
Both staff members are faithful, practicing Catholics who put God first in their work and are 100% committed to donors and fund beneficiaries.
The Board of Directors are the same -- strong Catholics who care deeply about the future of the Catholic Church in our diocese.
Our parishioners are eager to learn and help in accomplishing our goals, because they love God and take the mission of the Catholic faith seriously.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Education on planned gifts through presentations and talking with donors one-on-one has shown that donors are eager learn and provide funds supporting their faith while also reducing their tax burden.
We would like to increase our efforts at educating donors so they understand the many reasons to share the gifts God has blessed them with and ensure a strong and everlasting future for the Catholic Church.
