Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Ending Pollution
We’re fighting to end pollution because the health of people and planet are inextricably linked. The air we breathe, the water we drink and oceans we depend on, are all polluted. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re tackling harmful chemicals, putting an end to plastic pollution and fighting for clean air.
Defending Wildlife and Habitats
Pollution, climate change, agriculture and industry growth are all putting a strain on global biodiversity, causing species populations to decline and the health of ecosystems to suffer. The ongoing disappearance of natural habitats is not only a threat to wildlife, but to the welfare – and survival – of humanity. Our survival depends on our incredible natural world. We are using the power of the law to stop damage to our ocean, forests and wildlife so that nature is able to thrive.
Protecting Forests
We work for forests to be used sustainably and protected. There are three important strands to this effort: improving laws, empowering forest communities and fighting illegal logging and trade.
Strengthening the Rule of Law
Law-making must be done properly and fairly and once strong laws are in place, they must be respected by everyone. That’s where we step in. We make sure there are strong mechanisms to ensure that law-making and decision-making is transparent and subject to scrutiny by the courts, the public and the media
Tackling Climate Change
The world is changing dramatically due to climate change. We’re taking action to protect life on Earth for future generations. We focus on several areas including, climate accountability, climate finance, fossil fuels, clean energy, trade, and agriculture/
