Mission

The mission of the Carl Correns Foundation for Mathematical Biology (CCF) is to support basic research resulting in improvements in human health and medical science knowledge. Individual scholarships will be provided to support theoretical projects in a flexible manner with a fast review and approval process. Funded projects will usually require collaborations with biomedical labs within universities and research institutions. CCF aims to generate a part of its funding through licenses and patents. CCF will also provide expertise to link mathematical research in biology to advances in the treatment and prevention of specific diseases with an initial focus on brain research and cancer biology.
