Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We're working to chip away at the lack of philanthropic engagement by segments of the general public. According to Philanthropy Roundtable 2018, 33% of American households do not donate to charity in a given year.

Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Charitocracy website
Via our website we collect small recurring donations, and donors can nominate and vote for which charitable causes should receive the collective donations each month. We encourage program participants, who may not otherwise be regular donors, to make philanthropy, even at a small scale, a part of their every day lives.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Charitocracy aims to make philanthropy, even at a small scale, a bigger part of more people's lives.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategy is to make the initial buy-in attractively low ($1 per month), and then to draw donors into learning about new causes, nominating and voting for causes, growing both in participation level and donation level, and then reaching out to their friends and family to follow suit.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a strong IT background, and have built a platform for engaging donors in the philanthropic process in a fun, educational, and social way, all while remaining exceptionally cost efficient.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have attracted 462 individual donors who have given a total of over $100,000. Our donors have nominated 143 charitable causes. We've awarded 81 monthly distributions to 501(c)(3) nonprofits totaling over $90,000.
What we haven't done is reached the millions of other potential donors out there who could use some more philanthropy in their lives.
