Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Charities are doing a lot of important work and they have few resources for raising funds. Also, people want to give meaning, impactful gifts to their families and friends but making a donation in their name is not convenient. We address both problems with our charity gift cards and allow them to choose from 1.8 million charities, instead of just one.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Gift Card Redemption
When consumers redeem their Charity On Top gift card, proceeds are then paid directly to the charities that were selected for redemption via our website charityontop.org

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Charity On Top wants to push more giving and gifting to nonprofit organizations who need more funding to encourage more great work. Nonprofits spend so much time and energy and resource raising money, so if we can help them raise more, that's what we want to do. Charity On Top Gift cards benefit charities and their work, so every card that is sold goes directly to a nonprofit of their choosing.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We operate an easy to use charityontop.org website with an easy platform for giving. We offer fun charitable cards that people can give for all occasions. We actively communicate with corporations to promote giving opportunities for their corporate social responsibility initiatives and disaster relief support.
We run an educational social media and advertising plan to encourage more people to give using our gift cards.
We are excited about nonprofit gifting! We want charities to spend their time doing all the great things they set out to do, and not to have to hire more staff and plan more events to raise more money.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have been in the nonprofit industry for over 20 years working hard to raise money for the missions of the organizations we love. From bake sales and restaurant nights to galas and golf tournaments, these events are the backbone of many nonprofits, but are unreliable at best. A nonprofit needs a more sound giving structure and as much help from outside sources as possible to stay financially healthy and thrive. Charity On Top works to ensure nonprofits get the support and resource they need and deserve.
Our involvement in the gift card industry makes us uniquely qualified to use gift cards as a vehicle for individual and corporate giving!
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Each year we send funds to thousands of charities and we are expanding! We have successfully worked with many individuals and corporations to begin or expand their charitable donations! The organization has grown to support 1.8 million charities effortlessly and we just launched Fund-ay Monday where we pay charities each Monday! That's faster than almost all other charity platforms! Most are 30 days to quarterly. We are VERY proud of this, as we know how much nonprofits need money now.
We also provide free charitable consulting to companies who want to genuinely infuse charity in their businesses and we provide free consulting to charities looking for innovate ways to engage with their donors.
In 20201, we are launching a brand new platform and card product that we are really excited about! Stay tuned!!!

- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We measure and then disaggregate job satisfaction and retention data by race, function, level, and/or team.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
