Conroe Community Cemetery Restoration Project
Honouring the Individual by Preserving the Past
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The CCCRP is working to clean, restore, and preserve the historic African American cemetery located in Conroe, Texas, that has no name. In the past it has been known as the Conroe Cemetery and the Conroe Community Cemetery.
The cemetery is completely overgrown, and interred there are several leaders of the early history of Conroe and of Montgomery County, Texas. We aim to not only restore the resting places of these individuals, but to restore their place in history.
