What we aim to solve
Opening the world of recreational and competitive dinghy sailing to youth from the Upper Chesapeake Bay, especially those youth who might not otherwise be exposed to these activities and benefit from them.

Introduction to Recreational and Competitive Sailing
Campers meet for 5 daily sessions for combined on the water and classroom instructions in the elements of small boat sailing.
Basic Single Handed Sailing
Focuses graduates of Introduction to sailing Program on more advanced topics utilizing Opti sailboats.
Advanced Single Handed Sailing
Builds on the single handed sailing skills taught in Basic Single Handed Sailing for older and heavier enrollees utilizing the Laser sailboat.
Double Handed Sailing
Introduces the skills and teamwork needed to sail as a two person team in a C420 sailboat.
Introdution to Dinghy Racing
Teaches fundamentals of racing rules of sailing, racing safety and seamanship, and understanding the race course.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Develop a next generation of Upper Chesapeake Bay sailors.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Engage youth both directly and indirectly through parent teacher organizations, boys and girls organizations, and philanthropic organizations supporting outreach to at risk youth.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our program enjoys a core group of board member and supporters deeply committed to reaching our yearly goals and to growing our service capacity year over year.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our program's first year of full operation was 2017 when we served 60 campers. Our program grew to serve 138 campers in 2018, and 174 campers over 7 weekly sessions in 2019 and 198 campers in 2021. We are targeting serving 210 campers in 2022.
