Disaster Relief: Gluten-free

When disaster strikes, we are ready to deliver gluten-free disaster food to households across America. Our rapid response model allows us to deliver no-cost celiac-safe hunger relief boxes to households anywhere the need arises. This is the only gluten-free disaster relief program in the United States. Disasters include, but are not limited to: tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, tropical storms, severe storms, flooding, wildfires, mud slides, gas explosions, acts of terror, sudden environmental pollution, and acts of war.

Packed with nutritious and shelf-stable foods, Mend Hunger's weekend bags are kid-friendly, allergy-safe, and arrive distribution ready. Each bag provides 65 hours of weekend hunger relief to students participating in the reduced-fare or no-cost school lunch program. Bags provide 2 breakfasts, 4 entrees, 5 snacks that are individually labeled, non perishable, single serving, and easy to prepare. The bag contents are informed by USDA nutrition guidelines, reviewed by our registered dietician, and are allergy-safe for the student. The sleek and slender design allows students the opportunity to discretely slip them in their school bags before they head home.
