ACCIDENTAL TALMUDIST
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We are solving the extremely pressing problem of widespread Jewish apathy about being Jewish. Our original content reaches Jews of all observance levels, affiliations, ages, ethnicities, socio-economic categories and geographic locations. We receive messages daily from isolated and alienated Jews who are deeply appreciative of the Jewish teachings we provide. We are also helping non-Jews to connect with our 3000 year old wisdom tradition for living a meaningful life. For example, we teach the mechanics of civil discourse in a time when civility is sorely lacking form American public life.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We seek to increase peace by sharing Jewish wisdom with all people. In the process we hope to inspire Jews to connect with Judaism, and all people to connect with the timeless wisdom of our sages.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our core program is the Accidental Talmudist Facebook page, where we engage with a large and diverse worldwide community through daily content posts and twice-weekly live shows. We share Jewish wisdom and culture in dynamic ways that make Judaism fun, joyful and relevant to modern life.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a team of writers, artists and videomakers creating content for our primary platforms, accidentaltalmudist.org and facebook.com/accidentaltalmudist. We produce live shows, edited videos, articles, memes, and a podcast.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have 1.1 million highly engaged followers on our Facebook page, with whom we interact on a daily basis. We're now expanding our reach through instagram, podcast and website content.
