Mission

Reef Life Foundation's Vision Plant A Million Reeflings by 2025 and use Reef Life Restoration technologies to protect, recover and grow new coral populations around the world. Support Coral Microfragmentation labs globally with Oceanite "Smart Substrates for Super Corals" so they have oceanic infrastructure ready for coral planting. Bring together scientists whose continued development of future of blue ocean populations is paramount. We now have three sets of positive test results! MOTE Marine Labs, photos of Oceanite attracting and settlement of coral larvae in the lab. Univ. Hawaii tests of first IntelliReef Substrates, in ocean 2017, raised 2019, show massive and diverse coral growth. Latest Caribbean tests of 60 Oceanite units show corals, sponges, "Old Reef"CCA biospecies coverage,

Smart Substrates for Super Corals St. Maarten Caribbean IntelliReefs

The Nature Foundation and Sea Legacy Partnered with Reef Life Foundation to deploy in Marine Protected Areas, the first Intellireefs: "Smart Substrates for Super Corals"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmBNJ70nyFo

Global scientists are impressed with the fast fish acceptance and High Pink Corraline Algae growth, the precurser to Coral larvae acceptance. We need science teams back down in St. Maarten quarterly to assess, monitor and take samples to University Hawaii for coral settlement 3rd part confirmation of photo results.
Introduce IntelliReefs into dying or at-risk reefs as a means of increasing fish aggregation, coral spawn settlement and species biodiversity; fostering the exponential growth of coral reef systems. https://www.reeflifefoundation.org/intellireefs-press-release
With your donations we can:
Plant coral on IntelliReefs "Substrates for Super Corals"
Design and deploy IntelliReefs globally where reefs are degraded or dying, or where new reefs are needed
Design and build underwater ART dive parks that regenerate coral habitat and stimulate local economies & education
Reef Life Restoration Coral Research teams to guide ocean friendly maritime development and planning
Funding for future "Reef Planning and Design Manual" that our Coral Research and Marine Biology teams are creating. Scientific Publication 2020: https://www.reeflifefoundation.org/post/intellireefs-coral-restoration-nano-tech

GuideStar partnered with Equity in the Center - an organization that works to shift mindsets, practices, and systems to increase racial equity - to create this section. Learn more

Data
  • We review compensation data across the organization (and by staff levels) to identify disparities by race.
  • We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
  • We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
  • We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
Policies and processes
  • We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
  • We have a promotion process that anticipates and mitigates implicit and explicit biases about people of color serving in leadership positions.
  • We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
  • We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
  • We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
