Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Nana & Papa's Nest, Inc. aims to accomplish the improvement in the lives of parrots. To meet the growing demands with parrots relinquished to the parrot sanctuary, we have established four goals for the upcoming years:

1. Increase funding through donations, fundraising events, and grants
2. Build a third more giant aviary with the vision of housing macaws and cockatoos. There has been a massive demand for surrender from parrot owners that we currently have a waiting list.
3. Provide an education program on ownership of an exotic parrot with the ultimate goal of preventing continuous rehoming or abuse.
4. Provide a holistic happy, safe haven to parrots who have been abused, ill, injured, and neglected.
5. Goal is to develop a senior-to-senior program for our elderly parrots with 50 plus humans. All healthy parrots deserve a nice place to call home.

Nana & Papa's Nest, Inc. key strategies in meeting our goals is employing through traditional fundraising events and campaigns. The organization has established contributions through donors who shop through Igive.com, Amazon Smile, Kroger Grocery, and Ebay Charity. Additionally, monetary donations are accepted through Facebook and our website Nanapapasnest.org. We also will be applying for grants with the goal to help with expenses.

Nana and Papa's Nest, Inc. has presented many capabilities and presented awareness of the organization mission through Facebook, Newsletters, Public Bulletin Boards, advertised with pamphlets and flyers, Face to Face interaction with the public and supporters. We have established an increase connection to other organization's that are similar to our mission and efforts in providing a holistic safe-haven for parrot's well-being.

Since Nana & Papa's Nest, Inc. being an approved 501(c)(3) non-profit parrot sanctuary since August 2016 we have accomplished quite a bit in achieving our goals as a new start up organization. We have become engage in many methods of obtaining funds through fundraising, shopping networks, and Facebook since our Letter of Determination was approved in January 2017. The year started out better than we projected.

What Nana & Papa's Nest, Inc. hasn't accomplished as of yet is being approved for a grant for a new parrot aviary so the organization has the capacity to rescue other parrots with hardships from abuse, illness, injuries, and/or neglect. We will depend on grants to build the new parrots aviary.
