Expand your Vocabulary Now (EYVN)

An mobile based application (pre-loaded on donated phones), that serves an interstitial style question, optimized to find a user's proficiency in the English language. This comprehensive app will not only offer a complete and detailed description of competency in the language, but the app in itself, will promote active learning; through daily engagement the app will intuitively stimulate vocabulary growth through word contextualization; also a “word replacement” section will be present, which will demonstrate possible ways that the newly learned words can be implemented into daily conversations. Upon successful completion of the app, constructing a lexicon primed with rhetorical stability, the app will award them with a diploma asserting their proficiency status; with this said, the fabrication of an internal and rhetorically-accurate vocabulary list can only come to fruition with the volition of the end user. This application will be multifaceted including: an opening screen with the EYVN logo, a title page with end user stats, subsections for: learning, comprehension assessment, and “challenge” which is a head to head duel between the end user and a random list of vocabulary that they have already completed in accord with the App’s memory, also the app will include Game Center integration to see who is the ‘Master of the List’ or who has mastered the most content. With a list of vocabulary, implemented by database, the apps content will be regularly updated with accurate and holistic content.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Simply put: eliminate technical illiteracy!

But more explicitly our motto “Creating Unlimited Opportunities, for a Better Connected World", means much more! Our main goal is to make the people of America computer literate, and able to fend for themselves using technology. Also we create the ability for all students, regardless of learning disability, thrive in the classroom, by providing assistive learning aids that will help accommodate their needs. Our charity aims to provide three key things: Computer Literacy; Job Placement Assistance; The ability to succeed in all stages of life through the use of technology. After all, over 70% of the US is computer illiterate. 42% of their constituents are unemployed. When seeking a job 28% of those unemployed are discriminated based upon their appearance; 93% of which report they have given up looking for a job. Here at NicNac Charities, we help people see the potential in themselves by instilling technical knowledge that will help them thrive throughout the day

Start at the bottom, grassroots. For those who need our help, are often the most illusive. We go into shelters, local libraries, and offer classes and other forms of tech-based products so that everybody can succeed.

Currently we pursue our mission by putting our board members where they are needed most: at the forefront of the need! Unlike many 501c3's we are dedicated to getting the job done, and getting it done right. Our board is comprised of people who see value beyond the dollar, as in they would rather see their community thrive than seeing their pockets. This means that every dollar saved from the usual 'Board-of-Directors' compensation fee, we are able to actually implement back into the program, thereby making every donation stretch further.

We have partnered with local libraries, and other 501c3 organizations to help with the distribution of our applications. We are also working with the local county executive to ensure that everyone has fair-and-free access to public internet. Next we hope to implement this network of free public internet across the Lehigh valley and beyond!
