What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
SERVICE
FABSCRAP picks up commercial textile waste (which includes fabric headers, samples, mock-ups, mutilated items, cutting room scraps, deadstock, and overstock) from the design, fashion, and entertainment industries in NYC. Companies that sign up for service receive reusable bags. When full, simply call or email to schedule a pickup. We can securely and properly handle proprietary materials as well.
RESOURCE
FABSCRAP makes larger pieces of fabric available to students, artists, crafters, quilters, designers, etc.
VOLUNTEERS
FABSCRAP welcomes volunteers to help sort the fabric for recycling and reuse.
EDUCATION
FABSCRAP reps are available to speak to fashion and design classes, on sustainability panels, or host lunch-and-learns for companies that recycle.
FEATURED ARTIST / FEATURED DESIGNER
Dedicated wall and floor space in the new FABSCRAP Shop to highlight artists and designers upcycling fabric, allowing them retail opportunity and showcasing the creative opportunity for reuse.
