Herb it Forward Leadership Camp

The HIF Leadership Camp is open to all HIF Scholars annually. Scholars spend a weekend in the Poconos learning from experts in various fields, with each annual camp based on a different theme that promotes future success. Most importantly, the HIF Leadership Camp weekend allows scholars to unwind, grow, and build lasting connections.

The Herb it Forward Scholarship provides academic funding to Philadelphia area students with a demonstrated commitment to community service while ensuring those with the greatest financial need get the support they deserve. This highly competitive scholarship program selects the scholars and alumni that make up the HIFF community. The scholarship fund was founded in 2014 to honor the memory of Herb Lotman and his commitment to giving back.

In addition to our annual Leadership Camp, HIFF holds multiple events throughout the year to build upon our students’ connections with one another.

Volunteer Events: A commitment to community service is at the core of every member of the HIFF community. Therefore, we have several opportunities throughout the year to serve other Philadelphia-based organizations. Past partners include The Salvation Army, Philly House, the Broad Street Run, and more!

Board of Directors Spring Meeting: Community members and the HIFF Board of Directors come together to share a meal and connect. During this event, students seek advice from board members, share ideas, discuss opportunities, and develop their professional network.

Annual Holiday Event: Each December, during the holiday break, we host a social event for students to reconnect after the fall semester and share their experiences while participating in fun activities.
