Offerings of The Brigid Project

With deep gratitude, we have the honor of offering therapeutic presence for people in transition. Using massage therapy, musicians, beauty & tonsorial service, art & animal therapy, legacy work, witness bearing & compassionate companioning, we aim to provide love and connection where there is often fear and isolation. We consider End of Life an opportunity to deepen intimacy within families, rather than depleting it.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

-Provide high quality, in home care, to improve quality of life at the end of life

-Reduce pain and suffering among patients, families and their support circles

-Promote healing ( not to be confused with "curing" )

-Lift cultural taboos around speaking openly about death, by engaging the community in End of Life education & awareness practices

-Continue to build the foundation of trust we've cultivated in the community through fulfillment of our mission

-Continue our strong relationship with our medical counterparts

-Continue to expand our team of exceptional volunteers

-Maintain our financial stability

-Maintaining our highly skilled and uniquely trained staff & volunteers

-An integrated approach to the psycho/social/spiritual needs of the dying and their families

-Guidance and oversight from our board and advisory board comprised of doctors, nurses, accountants and community leaders

-Focus on, and dedication to, our mission

-Well managed finances

-Built confidence and trust within the tri-county region in which we whole-heartedly serve

-Served 138 people in 2018

-Met our budget every year since our inception

-Completed continuing education classes and workshops to stay current, credentialed, and inspired in our work

-Recruited, trained and successfully coordinated a devoted band of motivated, beautiful volunteers

WHATS NEXT? We have a goal to increase the number of people we serve by 20%, the number of volunteers we have by 20% and the number of hours served by 20% in the next year.
