What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Too many veterans are struggling after leaving the military. Some are homeless, some have physical injuries, some are suffering from less visible wounds, like traumatic brain injuries, PTS and PTSD. Some veterans are homeless and some are struggling to find new employment. The VA and each State has an apparatus intended to address this issues, but there are limits on how many veterans they can help. There is a loose safety. net of not for profit's that provide veterans. with the services they are not getting elsewhere. Most of those veteran service organizations lack enough resources to provide assistance to all of the veterans in need. So Swim With A Mission was created to strengthen the veteran service organizations by raising additional funds for these organizations and by leveraging our networks and resources to make the community a better place for veterans to live in.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Swim With the Mission has the following key goals:
1. Raise money and donate strategically to worthy organizations that provide services to Veterans. Money is raised through many different initiatives and events.
2. Address key issues affecting NH's Veterans including affordable housing, suicide/mental health, help Veterans find services and creating a caregivers network.
3. Educate the public on issues facing Veterans in NH through media, our book about Veterans, our Never Forget campaign and publishing a Community Impact Report.
4. Help make New Hampshire a destination for Veterans.

The keys to achieving our goals starts with successful fundraising. We continue to create new, fun and exciting events that attract a lot of attention. There are a lot of volunteers that support these efforts. Then we put a lot of time and effort into connecting and coordinating all of the key stakeholders, from the veteran service organizations, to the VA, to the various State committees, the National Guard and the business community.

The success of our fundraising lies in our ability to attract a large team of supporters, volunteers and donors,
which leads to putting on successful events that raise funds. The networks of our board members and our key supporters further help us to raise funds and bring all of the groups together to help reach out goals.

Over the last 6 years we have successfully raised over $10 Million and have been able to help tens of thousands of Veterans both in NH and around the USA. We have also successfully brought over 40 Veteran Service Organizations together to work on the issues that Veterans face in NH.

We have published a book about New Hampshire's Veterans in 2022.

Introduced our Never Forget Campaign which honors the 94 soldiers that New Hampshire has lost in service since the start of the War on Terror.
