What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

PAN: Project Access Nourishment

PAN (Project Access Nourishment) program is an eight-week food literacy course that guides participants in the purchasing and preparation of foods that meet their nutritional needs while on a limited budget. This program, offered in English and Spanish, includes: remote learning platforms, and personalized coaching.

Program participants are guided through self-paced, weekly virtual lessons. Topics vary weekly and cover a range of skills from kitchen safety, budgeting, meal planning, and family engagement. PAN frames the space for students to assess what their food choices mean to them and those they cook for. Our goal is to provide education and resources to our participants, and for them to take what they’ve learned to create their own unique food experience.

    Participants stated they would like nutritional information for each recipe. We now include nutritional information on all of our recipes, and are working on implementing nutrition label reading skills during our onboarding process.
