Mission

Welcome Home Military Heroes is a nonprofit on the Central Coast dedicated to honoring and supporting our military heroes and their families. We partner closely with local bases such as Vandenberg Space Force Base, Camp San Luis Obispo, and Camp Roberts to enhance our support through welcome home events, care packages, and aid for families. Our mission is to strengthen the bond between civilians and the military community. Through various initiatives, we provide essential resources and assistance to our Military Heroes, ensuring they feel appreciated and supported for their service. By collaborating with local communities, veteran organizations, and government agencies, we aim to create a robust network of support that extends beyond our organization.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

At the beginning of every year, we sit down as an organization and make plans for the upcoming year and the next five years. Since COIVD, we have been busier than ever. We went from one mission every few months, to having a mission multiple times a week. Our membership over doubled and we have been able to bring in a great board and committee members. Our biggest issue right now is having to many missions. We will be making changes for 2023 so that the work load is distributed evenly.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our main accomplishment is to continue to honor our Veterans. We want to welcome home more Military Heroes, send more care packages, get more members to come to our events and build up our relationships with other local Military non-profit organizations.
Our goal is to raise over $100,000 at the 2023 Veteran Golf Classis, welcome home over 300 local Military Heroes, send over 500 care packages, replace 100 American Flags and help 300 local Military Heroes with our Veteran Angel Tree Program.

Our strategy is to continue to have our members help us find local Military Heroes who are needing our support. We will also continue to promote the organization with on social media and local media outlets so we can help even more Veterans.

Continue to use social media and local media to promote what the organization does. COVID really helped our organization thrive! We shifted our missions and it helped up double our membership and have become one of the strongest Veteran organizations on the Central Coast.
We will continue doing all our missions to help honor more Military Heroes.

2022 has been an amazing year for us. We raised almost $100,000 over the year for Veterans on the Central Coast. We welcomed home over 200 Military Heroes from WWII to present day Military Heroes. WHMH helped over 200 on the Veteran Angel Tree program and have sent over 500 care packages. This is just a little bit of what we are doing.
We will continue all these programs next year, expect we are hoping to increase all those numbers.
