Bridge Ministry

Our teams are out walking every Saturday, regardless of the weather, to meet people where they are: on the streets, in parks and under bridges. We provide bagged lunches and essentials like socks, gloves, hats and personal care items. More importantly, we offer hope, guidance, encouragement, prayer and unconditional love to people who are struggling and hurting. We have built relationships with many individuals based on love and trust, and we have shared our own stories of life change. This builds the bridges needed to be able to engage those we serve in meaningful ways.

If you want freedom from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups, we encourage you to check out Celebrate Recovery (CR). We seek to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the Christ-centered 12 steps and the “8 Recovery Principles” based on the Beatitudes. CR is for both men and women. The men’s and women’s break out groups deal with a variety of issues including but not limited to: gambling, pornography, relationships, abuse, co-dependency, eating disorders, depression, anger, control, forgiveness, resentment and chemical dependency etc

Meetings are held Every Wednesdays 6:00 PM-8 PM @ 487 Essex St Lawrence Ma 01841

Each Sunday the Dream Center shuttle ministry provides a ride to church for individuals who wouldn’t otherwise be able to get there. As transportation is major issue for a lot of our individuals and/or families, we know that this has the potential to provide so much more – a way out of their current situation and a bridge to transformation

There are over 35 million people in America facing hunger and some of them surely live in our neighborhood and there are over 96 billion pounds of food wasted each year and our community must have plenty of food that never reaches the mouths of the hungry and the needy. Rest assured that it is the very heart of God to be active in serving our communities, to feed the hungry, to clothe the needy, to defend the oppressed. With the Merrimack Valley Dream Center’s mobile food pantry, we are providing free groceries bags to under resourced individuals and families in the housing projects in our community. Will also offer prayers, connect to partner agencies, continue building relationships, assist with other resources needed and/or connect with other partner agencies that can provide resources that they may need. Everything we do is about relationships. One of the things we have learned over the years as doing ministry work in the community is that we just don’t hand out food, but we merely use food as a conduit to connect human to human and heart to heart. Every item is carefully screened to meet all USDA requirements for health and safety. We sort produce, bread and canned food on site into grocery bags for them to take home. Services will be provided once a month to designated housing projects.

Population(s) Served

Since Adopt-A-Block was established in the year 2020, more than 5,000 lives have been impacted. Through this monthly outreach, the MV Dream Center partners with many volunteers and other organizations to visit underserved neighborhoods with the goal of finding a need and filling it. Our outreach programs include distributing food, hygiene items and other essentials, playing with kids, picking up trash, back 2 school backpack drive and many more.
