The Mission of Mare's Legacy Equine Rescue is to provide horses and other equines an alternative to being sent to slaughter or being neglected. The Rescue will offer rehabilitation, training, and placement with adopters providing permanent homes and new opportunities. The Rescue will educate the public on fair treatment of all animals, but focusing on equine species.

The Equine Rescue and Rehab program provides horses and other equines an alternative to being sent to slaughter or being neglected. The Rescue offers rehabilitation, training, and placement with adopters providing permanent homes and new opportunities. Behavior problems are identified along with areas of potential or talent. Problems are treated while positive behaviors are reinforced.
