WellSurgent Corporation is a peer-operated North Carolina nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with mental and substance use disorders. Through collaboration, education and training, Wellsurgent provides consumers, family members, and community supports the tools to live healthy, reduce stigma, and strengthen communities.

Community Engagement and Empowerment

This program consists of WRAP® (Wellness Recovery Action Plan®) workshops and work groups and QPR (Question. Persuade. Refer) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper trainings throughout Western and Central North Carolina.

Part of the strategic plan of this program is partnering with other peer-operated and faith-based organizations to develop a strong network and create communication channels to reach those in need of the tools and resources that these evidence-based, peer support trainings and groups can provide.
