Mission
Leashes End is a sanctuary and rescue for senior cats and small dogs. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization chartered under the laws of Maryland State. Our mission is to care for these senior animals and provide them with the comforts they deserve in their golden years: a loving home, excellent nutrition, and top-notch veterinary care. We operate out of a private home on nearly three acres of lush land in Rockville, Maryland. Please help us save a senior!

Adoption and Care of Senior and Special Needs Animals
Leashes End adopts and cares for senior and special needs cats and small breed dogs in need. We do not offer our animals for adoption. Rather, once they come here, they are home for life. We provide these animals with a secure home environment, the best food and veterinary care, and a loving family in which to live out their remaining years.
Adoption Referrals & Assistance for Senior Animals
For animals we are unable to accommodate at Leashes End, we assist in finding appropriate homes. This usually entails working together with the animal's care giver to draft adoption advertisements, post them to various social media venues, and help process applications for adoption (to include conducting interviews and home inspections).
