CANINE COMMANDOS is a groundbreaking, award-winning, nationally recognized, community service-learning program training basic obedience commands to shelter dogs improving adoption rates! Canine Commandos provides the students with memorable hands-on life skills experiences! The goal is to increase adoption rates for shelters while improving academic gains through reflective classroom projects. . . . we socialize cats, too!

Since our inception in 2003, 2500 dogs have been trained by 4000 students. Our adoption success rate is 60%. We would like to see the Commandos grow by adding schools in other counties and across the nation. The board will be presenting the program to two major organizations this year.
