Connecting Veterans & Families to Resources
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Grossly under-served Veterans, women Veterans, Veteran spouses and children of Veterans. Especially approximately 70% of the Veteran population who are not in the VA system due to not being qualified, lack of trust, lack of awareness or their preference. In our service area of northern Colorado and SE Wyoming we have an estimated 109,000 Veterans we are attempting to contact and educate.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We are reducing the stresses in the lives of Veterans and their families, thereby, reducing the number of Veteran suicides.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
This accomplished by Listening to the individual based on a premise of helping them, regardless of the need. Then connecting them to Qualified Resources what we have vetted to ensure they actually perform as advertised. Third, because of the interaction with multiple Veterans every day we become the voice for them as we seek out more needs and share these needs with our 50-member Resource Team, the VA, local communities, Rotary International and others engaged in supporting the needs of Veterans.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our team includes over 50 years of small business experience with our board of directors and an advisory group we are assembling.
We are deeply engaged in the Veteran community from the past several years in various offices within the Colorado Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rotary International District 5450 Assistant Governor, assistant editor of a group of news papers for seniors, a retired IBM project manager, a suicide prevention/education team leader and an operations manager for a home care company.
The Executive Director was a partner in two civil/structural engineering companies, a design engineer for a municipal-industrial, water/waste water company and the last 18 years the owner of an IT company catering to businesses with less and 200 employees.
We have the ability to reach in and recruit interns from the local universities and find volunteers we've met in the last 30 years.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Over 1,500 Listening Sessions in the past 4 1/2 years.
Moved from 40 to 50 vetted, Qualified Resources in the Directory
The first quarter we printed was the second quarter which included 500 copies.
We now have over 9,500 in circulation.
We receive over 150 inbound calls per month from Veterans or family members
We serve approx. 100 Veterans or family members every month
There are 25 - 40 new Veterans or family members who call us for assistance each month
