Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Global Partnerships is an impact-first investor dedicated to expanding opportunity for people living in poverty. We make loans and early stage investments in social enterprises that deliver market-based products and services that empower people to earn a living and improve their lives.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Women-Centered Finance with Health
Global Partnerships aims to improve the health of women and their families by investing in microfinance institutions (MFIs) that deliver credit and savings plus access to basic health services.
Solar Lights
Global Partnerships (GP) aims to improve the economic position and quality of life of off-grid households by investing in manufacturers and distributors that provide access to quality, low cost solar lights and home systems.
Smallholder Farmer Market Access
Global Partnerships aims to improve the economic position of smallholder farmers and their families by investing in agricultural businesses that provide them with market access and technical assistance.
Women-Centered Finance with Education
Global Partnerships aims to empower women living in poverty by investing in partners that deliver credit and savings bundled with education.
Rural-Centered Finance with Education
Global Partnerships aims to improve the livelihoods of rural households by investing in financial institutions that deliver credit and education tailored to meet their needs.
Home Improvement Finance
Unlike affordable housing, home improvements provided via microfinance organizations can be financed incrementally with loans, and thus reach a wider and lower income demographic. Partners also provide project budgeting, work planning and best-practice construction education.
Cookstoves
Global Partnerships (GP) aims to reduce health risks and financial burden of impoverished households by investing in cookstoves that reduce emissions and are more efficient and affordable.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our ten-year aspirational goals are to invest $500 million into impact-led social enterprises that deliver market-sustaining innovations comprised of at least 20 investment initiatives (i.e. women-centered finance with education and cookstoves) that bring meaningful opportunity to 30 million people living in poverty - empowering them to earn a living and improve their own lives.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Using philanthropic capital to prove out sustainable solutions and loan capital to sustain and grow proven solutions, we will continue to invest in partners that include microfinance institutions, cooperatives and social businesses to reach families living in poverty. We will focus our efforts on delivering essential products and services in the areas of health services, economic resilience, and green energy to impoverished families, with a focus on women and rural communities who face the greatest obstacles in accessing essential products and services that will help them lift themselves out of poverty.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
