Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
SAM desires to rescue at risk shelter animals and to provide funding for treatment of heartworm positive and medical needs shelter animals in our rescue. We can accomplish this with the help of individuals who share our passion for homeless shelter animals and want to join our mission through tax deductible donations.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We work in unison with shelters as well as the community to rescue animals that have become homeless by no fault of their own.
We develop and nurture relationships with shelter administration and staff to identify at risk animals particularly heartworm positive, medical needs and those at risk due to overcrowding.
We partner with Veterinary Clinics to assist with rescue of animals surrendered to their facility.
We reach out to the underserved and community at large to rescue abandoned, injured and displaced animals to prevent them from entering the shelter system.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We incorporate a network of Veterinary Clinics for treatment, foster homes for sheltering, USDA animal transport services for relocating as well as develop relationships with placement partners in other regions.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We rescue nearly 70 shelter animals primarily canines each year. Once completely physically and emotionally healthy, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped, we arrange transport to a rescue placement partner who finds them the happily ever after they so deserve.
