Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The earth is made up of 71% water. Every day, about 10 people die from unintentional drowning. Of these, two are children aged 14 or younger. Children also need affordable summer activities that help children grow as individuals. Our program helps children learn a life saving skill while having fun with other children in the community. We strive to help the children learn to be leaders, team players, and most importantly give them the confidence they need to feel good about oneself.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
HMR Swim Club, Inc
Our philosophy is to provide children with a fun and safe environment while they learn and grow as swimmers. We promote integrity, good sportsmanship, self-discipline, commitment, teamwork, and most of all enjoyment. The program will build confidence, physical fitness, develop leadership qualities, and provide a platform for personal growth. We encourage swimmers to compete with oneself- winning is not our main goal. The swimmer's improvement is our primary objective.
JRAC Summer Swim
Provide a swimming program to the children of the community to learn swimming techniques.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to use our summer swim team as a way to teach children a life saving skill while building up their self esteem. We aim to teach each child they are part of a team and the only way to succeed as one is to work together.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategy is to use practices, team events, and competition to help the children learn a life saving skill and become part of team. This brings our community together and shows the children how we as a community can come together for the greater good.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are in the beginning stages but we have the coaches and all the equipment needed to succeed. We are still finding our way but we look forward to fine tuning how we get things accomplished.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our team has grown and last year alone almost one third of the team swam at the championship meet. All one hundred fifteen kids knew how to swim an entire length of a twenty five meter pool unassisted. We hope to continue to grow the team and teach more children this life saving skill.
