Mission

Bridging the gap of spay and neuter costs to help stop pet overpopulation. We help residents of Central Florida get their companion animals spayed/neutered & vaccinated by subsidizing appointments at our partner clinics. We also assist community cat caregivers with TNVRing their colonies.

Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Educational Outreach

We offer an array of instructional and informative classes in topics such as Kitten Bottle Feeding, TNVR Basics, Advanced TNVR Methods, Fostering Hissy Felines, and Fostering Puppies and Dogs. Our workshops are hands-on learning experiences when applicable and are appropriate for people of all ages and walks of life. We also sponsor events for local high school veterinary programs to gain hands-on spay/neuter experience.

Population(s) Served

An estimated 80% of kittens come from community cat parents, and only about 75% of these kittens will make it to their first birthday. We passionately believe that TNVR (trap - neuter - vaccinate - return) is the only humane way to effectily manage free-roaming cat populations, not only to minimize kitten death, but to also mitigate nuisance behaviors and ultimately keep street cats out of our crowded shelter system where they are also also quite vulnerable.
The majority of the funds we raise go directly towards our efforts to assist TNVR trappers and community cat caregivers throughout Central Florida, most noteably through our sponsorship of sterilization dates at local spay/neuter clinics.
More and more jurisdictions are accepting TNVR and community cats, and our home county is no exception. Seminole County changed its statutes to recognize community cats as a separate entity from "owned" cats in April 2022, and we are proud to have been instrumental in the process.
