What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

People who can experience pregnancy face barriers to access the full range of quality, culturally appropriate, care throughout the spectrum of decisions they make about becoming pregnant or not. Once pregnant, people struggle for the right to make autonomous decisions regarding their bodies during pregnancy and childbirth.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Organizational Priorities:

Train the next generation of abortion providers within a framework that focuses on the whole person and provides a unique understanding of the barriers historically marginalized people may encounter in medical communities where they’ve felt excluded.

Deliver educational content and programs that help people from historically marginalized communities access reproductive health care and exercise autonomy over their bodies and lives.

Engage, build relationships, and mobilize local policy makers, advocates, and community members directly impacted by harmful policies toward an Arizona that provides the conditions for people to freely decide when and how to form families and raise children.

We cultivate relationships with grassroots community leaders, organizations, and elected officials to engage and educate them on reproductive health, rights, and justice. We operate from the reproductive justice framework that informs our 3 overarching priorities for work. Through a multitude of outreach tools, including Hands-on training of future abortion providers, Reproductive Health Lectures, Workshops, Community Events, and Patient Assistance for Birth and Family Planning Services; we aim to improve access to information, reproductive health services, and empower people in their decisions regarding reproductive health and wellness in our own community and across the country.

We have a fellowship trained and seasoned family planning provider at the helm of the organization. The board of directors and staff are a talented and passionate group of people who represent the communities we serve with our programs. The training site is an independent abortion clinic and students are trained within an integrative reproductive justice framework. We have been building coalitions between BIPOC led nonprofit and grassroots organizations in Arizona. Our Deputy Director is also the Co-Founder of an Arizona birth justice organizations and came on board to strengthen our capacity to support birth justice work. We recently added a staff member who works at the intersections of abortion and LGBTQ service support. We continue to build the infrastructure for sustainability of our organization and our programs. The networks of board members and staff provide the expertise necessary to further the goals of the organization.
