OPEN Northwest

Building Community Multiple Relationships at a Time

PORTLAND, OR   |  opennorthwest.org

Mission

OPEN Northwest strives to create an inclusive, vibrant community that supports the growth of the local ethically non-monogamous culture and its people, and works to increase visibility, normalization, and acceptance of ethical non-monogamy both in the media and in society. We endeavor to foster an environment where people come together and find social groups, activities, events, resources, services, and support. The defining factor of people our organization is aimed to serve is the practice of partnerships that do not limit romantic and/or sexual connection to only one person at a time and which promote open communication, honesty, and consent for everyone involved.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We aim to foster an inclusive, vibrant community that supports the growth of the local ethically non-monogamous culture and its people, and works to increase visibility, normalization, and acceptance of ethical non-monogamy both in the media and in society.

OPEN Northwest hosts events that support the community by bringing people together, and by bringing learning resources and opportunities to them in the form of seminars, movies, discussion, and books.

Our volunteers host events that are meaningful to them. OPEN NW events are a labor of love and the variety of events we host demonstrate the variety of interests and people in our community willing to contribute their time and energy to building that community and supporting the people in it.

We have built a robust and diverse offering of monthly events, as well as a selection of seminars and workshops. We intent to continue supporting these events, making them accessible to people new to the community, and looking for new opportunities to intersect non-monogamy with our community's interests.
