ALL PEOPLE FREE

No one is free until all people are free.

aka All People Free   |   LYNDEN, WA   |  https://www.allpeoplefree.com

Mission

All People Free is an organization dedicated to helping end slavery for 20,000,000 people who are working in the brick-making factories of North Africa, Middle East, and Asia. Visit www.allpeoplefree.com for more information. More then half of those working in the brick kilns are women and children. They are hand-making bricks in devastating conditions to pay off ever-increasing family debts – and they have been since they were toddlers. The brickyard owners use a system of housing debt and substandard pay to enslave whole families for generations, creating a cycle nearly impossible to escape from. All People Free is working to bring education, liberation, and innovation in the brick-making sector.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

All People Free is our saying YES to the call to liberate people through education and empowerment as well as to solve the systemic problem by finding productive solutions for the Brickyard owners. With strong relationships already in place in the education, business, media, religious and political sectors of Pakistan, there is a great opportunity for substantial change to occur in the coming years – the time is ripe and movement has begun. Pakistan is the key to seeing an industry-wide change in the neighboring countries that share the problem.

Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Education

Education is hope for a future outside of the brickyards. Over 80% of children working in the brickyards are uneducated and illiterate, ensuring that they never move beyond slavery. For only $50, you can pay a child’s tuition for a full year, empowering them to get the education and skills necessary to find life outside of the brickyards. For just $5000 we can start up a new school in a brickyard, hire a certified teacher, pay their wages for two year and educate 35+ children.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We are working to provide resources to people working as bonded laborers in the brick kilns of the Middle East and Asia.

Educate a Child
Education is hope for a future outside of the brickyards. Over 80% of children working in the brickyards are uneducated and illiterate, ensuring that they never move beyond slavery. For only $50, you can pay a child’s tuition for a full year, empowering them to get the education and skills necessary to find life outside of the brickyards.

Liberate a Family
By paying off the debt a family owes to the brickyard owners and setting them up in a sustainable business, we can begin the process of empowering them to live free and build a hopeful future.

Invest in a Brickyard
We are constantly searching for new and innovative ways to make the brickyards in Pakistan profitable without relying on human slavery for production. A donation here is an investment in good people and good methods to ensure brickyards are run in a way that is beneficial to the brickyard owners and their employees. We aim to buy a brickyard to run a prototype and model a more efficient and humane way of making bricks!

Our organization works through established partners in Pakistan. We can handle sizable donations and are in position to scale quickly.

In 2021 we provided education to over 1000 children who have no other access to public schools. We provided adult education to over 300 teenage women and ran more than 30 programs serving over 3000 people daily.
