hrough extensive research, discussions with experts, and numerous meetings, the Foundation determined that it wanted to focus on five core areas of the community that needed to be addressed:

1) Child Hunger
2) Child Abuse
3) Domestic Violence
4) Homelessness and Family Shelters
5) Educational grants and scholarships for low-income students

It is the goal and mission of The Ahmad Foundation to raise as many funds as possible to help those in need in an expedited and efficient manner.

The Ahmad Foundation's solution is to approach the five identified areas of need with three specific steps.

The first step is to raise awareness around each individual issue. One of the biggest reasons for funding shortfalls is a lack of public understanding of the problem. There are plenty of people willing to give to charitable causes. The problem is they aren't always aware of which are in most need. They defer by giving to those that are the most popular or advertised the most, which are often the ones that have the greatest funding. Usually, these are national or international nonprofits. Many of the local charities and issues for which they were founded are overlooked due to a lack of awareness.

The Ahmad Foundation will seek to increase knowledge and understanding by use of the website, flyers, email newsletters, in-person conversations, telephone calls, and social media. By making those in the Northern Virginia region aware of the problems at hand, there is a greater likelihood of receiving donations.

The second step is to raise funds . This will be done through a variety of methods. The Ahmad Foundation will apply for grants and awards, be active in the community at various events seeking to raise, use crowdfunding and social media, visit various religious institutions seeking pledges and donations, and will sponsor various events once a quarter to raise awareness along with accepting donations.

The third step is to distribute the funds to the various programs and entities that are providing the services that are of need to the areas specifically identified by the Foundation. General donations to The Ahmad Foundation will be segregated and distributed in order of highest priority or urgency levels. The donations that are marked by the donor to go to a specific cause will be distributed through the appropriate channels to reach the recipients in as expedited of a fashion as possible.

The Ahmad Foundation brings a commitment and passion to better those that are victims of abuse, violence, or unfortunate circumstances that have left them in need of assistance. Through its Board of Directors comprised of experienced and successful individuals, as well as decades worth of local ties to the community, the Foundation looks to serve the local region in the best possible way.

It has a firm commitment to donate to the recipients in an expedited fashion so that those contributing to the Foundation can be assured that their funds are going directly to those that are in need of it the most to assist them as quickly as possible. With The Ahmad Foundation being a small nonprofit organization, it does not have the overhead expenses such as rent, salaries and wages, or debt that many others are faced with. As such, the Foundation will be able to donate a greater percentage of each dollar received than most organizations.

The Foundation has successfully donated more than $3,000 to an emergency relief fund to Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. We have successfully raised funds and bought every item off of the "Wish List" of Fauquier Family Shelter Services. The Foundation is in the process of fundraising to eliminate the student loan debt for all Fauquier County Public Schools. Additionally, coats and winter clothing are being donated to the Foundation to distribute to children in need. The Foundation is also in the process of partnering with Fauquier Food Bank to collect canned and dry foods to distribute to those in need within the County.
