Mission

SociaLite works to increase awareness of, and partially alleviate light poverty through the installation of robust, affordable, solar-powered micro-grids that power portable light sources, cell phones and audiovisual systems in impoverished, forgotten communities. Working directly with the inhabitants, our systems are delivered in kit form suitable for assembly and installation by unskilled labor close to the point of end-use—system operation subsequently overseen by selected individuals. Impoverished communities, unable to raise the necessary capital to purchase all or part of these systems benefit from the corporation's activities. Funds are solicited, raised, and otherwise collected and expended in furtherance of these goals and pursuit of a self-sustaining organization.
