Mission

The Iseum Sanctuary is a charitable organization run by women, with the mission to protect and care for all living creatures and the natural world. We provide a refuge of safety, spirituality and hope to those in need. Our first Sanctuary is located in Northern California where we are creating a community and providing for many animals, cats, birds, deer, and fowl. Our second site is the North Quabbin Sanctuary in Orange, Massachusetts. This Sanctuary is a Historic 1850 Victorian in need of renovation and restoration. Our vision is to create very low cost housing at our Sanctuaries, lovingly created and creative homes, for youth, seniors, veterans, and those in need.

The Bancroft Homes

The Iseum Sanctuary has a primary mission of providing sanctuary for those in need, therefore we are working on restoring distressed residences and creating homes, referred to as "The Bancroft Homes." The Bancroft Home projects are located on both the West Coast and East Coast. The Bancroft Homes will provide low cost housing with a focus on veterans and seniors. The Bancroft projects entails purchasing, rehabilitating and developing two large residences which are conveniently located to stores, library, and public transportation.

The Hamlets vision is to create "tiny home" communities on our Sanctuaries. These would be small communities- no more than 10 tiny homes. The creation of these hamlets would be guided by one of our founders who has experience in creating alternative housing. The hamlets would be built, lived in, and maintained by younger adults who were homeless or perilously close to losing their homes.
