What we aim to solve
More than 130,000 Chicago residents live with family or friends because of economic hardship, according to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.
According to the CCH, more than 48,000 homeless children with parents, and another 12,000 people younger than 21 without parents or guardians.
The CCH estimates there are more than 64,000 homeless adults, about 46 percent of the total homeless population
In 2014, a “point-in-time count" during a single night in January of Chicago's homeless population found 5,329 people in homeless shelters and another 965 unsheltered residents, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
30 years combined helping with the homeless
We have advocated for Tent City for 2 years with absolutely no budget at all.
(including giving out tents, feeding, supplies sleeping bags ect.)
No staff member is paid – Therefore we are dedicated to accomplishing our goals.
Most involved, have worked in Charitable Organizations that are critical elements of Case management for Homeless victims.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
we have currently drawn up a proposal to the city, acquired land from the alderman and are currently trying to propose building code variances to allow for the build .
