Overlook Horizon is dedicated to inspiring students into science & technology fields of study using high altitude weather balloon flights as our inspirational platform. We design, teach, support and plan weather balloon missions that obtain jaw dropping photos & videos and allow students to plan & contribute to NASA-like missions in the real world. We hope to inspire students to create their own projects or further their studies in science & tech!

We design and fly high altitude weather balloon missions and provide educational videos and materials to accompany them. Our flights and missions are broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube to students and educators all across the country to allow them to engage in the process from a distance. We also involve local students and educators with experiments and preparations to get them on-board our flights. We additionally provide mission support, guidance and tutorials to students and educators designing their own flights. Finally, we develop auxiliary videos and materials related to general science and education as well as attend events like Maker Faires/Fests to encourage and inspire students into fields of science and technology.

We are a small organization that is constantly working to expand our reach. Social media is our main method for engaging with large groups and spur inspiration. We involve local students directly and hope to inspire students afar into pursuing their own experimentation.

We're approaching 10,000 followers and fans on our social media channels and improving interactions. We've provided mission support for over 50 other groups launching their own flights and have been able to provide guidance, expertise and documentation to help them get started.
