Programs and results
What we aim to solve
While the Michiana area is home to a rich diversity of artists, they are often disconnected and disempowered. Our area offers many literary events, but most are either affiliated with academic institutions (and thus often inaccessible and formal in nature), or are open mics (and thus often very informal with inconsistent performance quality). Lit Literary Collective aims to solve both of these problems by connecting the fractured artistic communities in the area by holding well-curated events, offering educational and growth opportunities to artists, and supporting other area literary organizations.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Write Night
Write Night is an every-other-month submission-based reading series. Each event features 5-6 local writers who are selected based on their submissions, one featured reader, and a musical guest.
