AFFIRM (the American Foundation for Firearm Injury Reduction in Medicine, https://affirmresearch.org/) is the nation’s leading non-partisan network of 40,000+ healthcare professionals, public health experts, and researchers who are committed to reducing gun violence. Our mission is to reduce the American epidemic of firearm injury (over 150,000 injuries and deaths in 2017 alone) with research, evidence-based practice, and community partnerships.

AFFIRM

AFFIRM is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose team of researchers, clinicians and content experts will find lasting solutions to curb the trend of the epidemic of gun violence across the United States. Our funding goes directly to research and medical experts who can:
* Promote the core concept that gun violence is a public health problem
* Support the development of innovative public health solutions to gun violence, and support research to prove that these solutions work
* Create education and information for healthcare professionals and the public
Involve collaboration with all stakeholders, including firearm experts, trainers and manufacturers.
