What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Warrior Care
Our most solemn obligation here at NSOF is ensuring our Warriors and their families always have a place to turn to for support.
We understand firsthand what is required to maintain the resiliency of our heroes and their families by providing gap solutions when assistance cannot be provided through other channels. We provide diverse solutions for those facing hardships through financial support grants, respite child care assistance, and logistical expenses for unforeseen life events to name just a few.
Our foremost priority is to our Combat Warriors who are suffering not only from the physical but also the invisible emotional wounds which are exacerbated once members separate or retire and must learn to cope without the support network they had while serving.
This is achieved by funding unconventional medical therapies and treatments which are not covered through normal insurance channels.
We actively maintain relationships with all our Combat-Wounded and Gold Star families, ensuring they are never left to navigate their challenges alone.
We ensure those suffering from any injury or illness, especially our Combat-wounded and Gold Star surviving family members, receive immediate and ongoing relief so these families can focus on healing with loved ones during these traumatic times.
Youth Programs
Children of Navy Special Operations service-members spending 1/4 of their childhood without their parent. NSOF believes that these children deserve the utmost gratitude and respect for the sacrifices they make as their parents leave to fight the nation's battles.
Our Warriors miss birthdays, holidays, and so many more memories that can never be recaptured.
We work aggressively to place them into exceptional sporting and educational programs, summer camps, and athletic activities which promote health and wellness.
These youth programs are essential in helping to fill the void and facilitate building meaningful friendships between these children who share in common struggles.
It is imperative that while our heroes are protecting the nation in faraway places around the globe, they are comforted by the fact their children are being cared for back home.
Transition Assistance
Over 250,000 service members transition from the military into the civilian workforce every year. The Navy Special Operations community represents the top 1% of that population. NSOF stands ready to support these operators in finding meaningful careers after their selfless service to our nation.
What We Do:
• Identify operators 24 months prior to their separation or
retirement to ensure they have adequate time to prepare and plan
for their transition
• Provide a well-rounded set of resources and programs best suited
for NSO service members and tailored to their personal and
professional career goals
• Leverage our personal and professional network to provide them
with curated opportunities and introductions to those who have
made the transition as well as business professionals
Community Presence
To grow and strengthen bonds between our members, we host exceptional events for operators and their families.
These events range from festivals, weekend getaways, and unique family experiences which are more than just a fun time but provide a critical bridge towards building the resolve and resiliency of the community by creating unscripted opportunities for relationship-building and networking.
This has proven invaluable in helping our Warriors heal the emotional wounds that have surfaced after decades of relentless combat around the globe.
This is equally important for allowing spouses and children to share in this healing process with their loved ones, something that is essential for lasting success.
This community presence is a lifelong network that does not have an expiration date, but rather is built upon and maintained to ensure our members always know who to turn to for assistance, friendship, and guidance.
It is important to use our platform to raise awareness within our own communities and across the nation by telling the incredible stories of our heroes who have saved so many lives by living the creed of protector first, warrior always.
